Why it is worth going

Why go?

To enjoy the view across Orhaniye Bay and experience one of the Marmaris area’s best-known natural features.

How to plan your visit

The shallow formation creates the impression of walking through the sea, but the whole bay should not be assumed to be equally shallow or safe. Stay within marked areas and supervise children continuously.

An early morning or late afternoon visit may avoid midday heat and crowds. Orhaniye can be combined with Turgut Waterfall or Selimiye.

Suggested mini-plan

Visit Kizkumu in the morning or before sunset and allow 45–60 minutes for the sandbar and shoreline. Pair it with Turgut village or Turgut Waterfall, but avoid squeezing Selimiye into the same short outing.

Practical tips

  • Wear non-slip water shoes.
  • Never leave children unattended in the water.
  • Remain inside the marked area.
